Nature Photography Meetup

Nature Photography Meetup

Saturday 14 October
Griffith Park - 9am - 2 Hours
Join this session for tips on how to use your camera settings to creatively capture nature in a visually interesting way. We will be looking at composition, focus, and colour.

Many professional offices and places of business have large prints gracing their wall space of things such as fields of flowers, a butterfly perched on a leaf, and a single dew drop on a rose petal. These beautiful images are all around us in nature. It just takes that special "eye" to not only see it but to capture it in a way that will turn that simple little piece of nature into a beautiful piece of art. We will learn how to use different angles, light and shadows, and settings to make subjects pop.

It was great! Jesse was wonderful. He helped me get back on track. I hadn't picked up my camera in some time and he got me back to the basics. He is super easy to work with and explains in a way that a novice can understand. He gave me several tips that I will put into use immediately. So happy to have him as my instructor. It was a fun and educational day.

As a photographer, I believe capturing the perfect photo is a little bit of skill and a little bit of luck - when preparation meets opportunity, as said by Roman philosopher Seneca. I did not plan this onethis is just the essence of beach life at sunset. I was prepared to take sunset photos in Newport Beach, and the opportunity presented itself for a split second decision to capture this amazing silhouette. I'm so glad I did! I think this showcases what life is all about, walking by faith and

So this is a photo that I've been wanting to take for a while! I've always wanted to take a long exposure of a freeway and I recently found the perfect spot to capture it. This is the 210 and 57 intersection. I was lucky enough that a truck was parked while the driver was looking under the hood. I think this is what makes this photo so awesome! I just wish the truck had the hood closed instead of open, but it is what it is. This was a 5 second exposure at F14 and iso 250. I love it when a plan
